US's PineBridge Investments Hires Ex-Credit Suisse Senior Executive

PineBridge Investments, a US asset management firm for individuals and institutions, has recruited a senior executive at Credit Suisse Asset Management as its senior managing director and chief operating officer, the Wall Street Journal reports.

George Hornig, who was a managing director and co-global chief operating officer at Credit Suisse Asset Management, will oversee the finance, operations, legal and compliance, technology, product development, and marketing and communications divisions, PineBridge said. Hornig will also serve on the firm's executive committee.

Prior to Credit Suisse, Hornig had also served as Deutsche Bank’s chief operating officer for the Americas and co-founded boutique investment bank Wasserstein Perella & Co.

New York-based PineBridge Investments, which manages $83 billion in assets for institutional and individual clients, was formerly a unit of American International Group, the troubled US insurer.
